Addiction Counseling

Addiction Counseling

At The Refuge we believe that the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ hold the true power to bring lasting freedom from the bonds of addiction and transformation in life.  Man’s ideas and efforts can never do what God alone can do. The Refuge is committed to provide Biblical Counseling for men who are struggling with addiction. Check out the info below and contact us today if you would like to talk about scheduling an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long is a typical counseling session?

Most sessions will last an hour to an hour and a half.

Where do we meet for counseling?

Redeemer Church allows us to meet in their offices when they are available, but it is also not unusual to meet in a local restaurant or coffee shop.

Do I need to do anything before beginning counseling?

There are a few forms that we need to have filled out before scheduling the first appointment.  You can find those at the bottom of this page. You can return them via email, mail, or by simply dropping them off to CJ or Ben.  Once the required forms have been submitted we will contact you to set up an appointment.

Does The Refuge provide crisis drug counseling?

The Refuge does not have someone “on call” all the time, but as much as we can we are available to meet with people in their time of crisis and need.

Does The Refuge provide counseling for other issues besides alcohol and drug abuse?

While we believe that the Bible is sufficient for all of life’s trials, temptations and difficulties, The Refuge is focused on providing counseling only for people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.

Is there a fee for counseling?

The Refuge is committed to providing counseling free of charge.  If you desire to make a donation to The Refuge while you are in counseling or after you have completed counseling you can do that by clicking on the donate tab of our website.
